(Jesus and Me)
6:00pm - 7:30pm
(Under the Cross)
The children and youth ministries here at SCCUMC offers an incredible spiritual journey for their young minds and hearts. Our groups consist of JAM (Jesus and Me) and UTC Youth (Under the Cross Youth). Our children and youth are led by tremendous leaders and the most amazing volunteers whose number one goal is to raise our children to be disciples for Jesus Christ. We strive to keep God close in all that we do. We enjoy our blessings and honor our Lord through fellowship, worship, praise, games, music, and food! Dinner is served weekly during our lessons. It is important that our children understand that ALL are welcome, ALL are accepted as they are, and ALL are loved. Our vision for our children is simple and spoken directly from Jesus
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” – Matthew 22:37-39

From Our Youth Leader
Hello UTC family,
It seems like it has been so long since we have had the opportunity to meet face to face. I am looking forward to when we get that chance again, hopefully in the not too distant future.
I know that a lot of things are different, from having an extended 2 week spring break, to virtual learning and trying to maintain healthy relationships with each other without being able to see each other.
In these uncertain times we all know that things like this are not easy and most times create more questions than we have answers for, but in times like this, I like to re-read my favorite verse of scripture which also happens to be the ‘Scripture of the Month’ for the entire SCCUMC family: “We know that in everything God works for good with those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.” -Romans 8:28 (RSV). Be sure to lean on your faith and trust in God even if you are unsure of what is to come in the coming hours, days and weeks.
My phone is always on if anyone feels the need to talk about anything that may be on their mind.
For now, all of the adults and myself will continue to love you from afar, and we are all looking forward to when we can get back to a sense of normalcy and start meeting again on a regular basis.
Love in Christ,
