Next week, Amanda Jordan will start facilitating the same study after the 10AM Contemporary Service in room 12 starting next week. Health and Wellness the Gannon University Way"
Wednesday, March 11, 2020, come to the LEC at the United Methodist Church of Sun City Center at 10:30AM to hear what exciting things the students of Gannon University are doing within our community. Dr. Stephanie Adams will share information about health and wellness tip for the orthopedic and physical therapies that many of us are experiencing. Genealogical Society Meeting
On Tuesday, March 17th, the South Bay Genealogical Society will meet in the Life Enrichment Center (LEC). We begin at 10:30AM with a Round Table Discussion. That will be followed by a sit-down luncheon at noon, and then the main presentation by our guest speaker a t 1PM. This month's speaker will be Drew Smith. He will be talking on "Using DNA Today." Ancestry DNA continues to add new tools to help with your matches, creating groups, and discovering the correct relationships. Mr. Smith will focus on how to use the latest toold to identify family members. The cost is $15.00 per person for lunch. For reservations and information, call Dotty Love at 13-634-2749. Life Line Screening Returning to UMCSCC
United Methodist Church of Sun City Center is pleased to offer a preventive health event. Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, will host their affordable, non-invasive and painless health screenings on 3/21/2020. Five screenings will be offered tat scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis. VBS is fast approaching!! We are in need of volunteers!! Please Help Us Replenish Our Pantry!!
We are in need of supplies for our food pantry. We need jelly, protein bars, almond non-dairy milk, cereal, crackers, instant oatmeal, gatorade, spaghetti sauce, pot top containers of tuna, spaghetti, ravioli, vienna sausage. BOGO is always a wonderful idea. The food that this congregation supplies assists with 5 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school, a local trailer park, as well as filled pack pack for the homeless. Meals on Wheels Needs You
Meals on Wheels drivers needed for Kings Point & Sun City Center. April 1 through April 30. Select day of he week you want to deliver. Then pick up meals from 3:15-3:30PM at South Bay Hospital. Deliver toe the route list given by the hospital. Then return food case to the hospital. Time involved, approximately one hour.
